Ever want to tell us how wrong we are, or how much we suck?
Well now you can!

Welcome to the first official Interactive Distractions contest.
Find a fourth!

It's simple!
Suggest a feature idea to us, and if we like yours the most, we'll bring you on the show as a guest to discuss it with us!

What we want is a) your suggestion, b) why you want it to be discussed, and c) why it is the superior feature suggestion!

Rules:
1. Your suggestion must be in the form of a voicemail.
Pretty self explanatory. We want to hear what you have to say.. not read it. Sometimes things are misinterpreted when reading someone else's thoughts, so don't let us do that, send us a voicemail so we get exactly the point you're trying to get across.

2. Your suggestion must be in your own voice.
Don't write up a suggestion and have someone else read it for you.

3. Your file must be under 10Megabytes.
We may play them on the show and we'll have to store all of the files. That can add up fast.

4. Your suggestion must be received by 11/16
This is going to be the cutoff for entries. We will do the show for this feature sometime in December.

5. You must be able to take a joke.
We pick on each other a lot, and we pick on guests too... you will be NO EXCEPTION! And we expect you to fight back!

6. Be creative.
Sell your feature. An uninteresting feature can become interesting if you are enthusiastic about it.

7. Encourage others to enter.
We will have an entry minimum. If that minimum is not met, unfortunately this contest will be a bust. So get your entries in, and encourage others to enter as well.

Obviously, to be on the show you will need to have a computer with a mic (preferably one that sounds decent). Also, Skype and Audacity will need to be installed on your computer.

Entries should be
a) sent as a file in mp3 format to email@interactivedistractions.com,
b) left as a voicemail on our skype line ( interactivedistractions ) <-- aaaaaaall lower case!
c) sent via google talk to InteractiveDistractions@gmail.com

So that's it. We will start announcing this contest on our next show. We want a lot to choose from, so get to it!

Wow that's a long running contest. One question though when do you guys normally record and would you make a concession for the winner to record at a time that's reasonable for all involved should the say live in a different timezone to you?

Yeah it was originally planned to run until the middle of Nov for a Dec record date, but come to find out, we have features planned for pretty much the rest of the year.

And yeah, RPT, we would do the best we can to make recording a reasonable time for all parties. Right now we normally record on Thursdays at 9PM Eastern time.

Not sure you guys could handle my Mass. accent. You want me to pronounce r's at the end of words...blasphemy!!

I have a few ideas, now I'll have to work out the details.

We've been thinking about doing something like this for a while, we were just never sure what kind of interest there would be.

Hopefully you guys will have fun with it.

Alright im in! Like the Madden curse once I grace your podcast, one of you is going to get convicted for a dog fighting scandal, another will pre-maturely retire, and the last well I guess we will wait to see what happens to Favre.

Im assuming when you say Mass accent, it's the same as a Boston one!?
