Play Games. Heal Kids.

Hello community! As you may have heard by now, VGEvo will be raising money for the Texas Children's Hospital in a charitable event called Extra Life, which is a 24-hour video game marathon raising money to strike a blow against pediatric cancer. In an effort to help raise money for this cause, many of the podcasts in the VGEvo Podcast Network will be actively participating in this event.

The marathon starts the evening of Friday November 6th and lasts until Sunday November 8th. Marathon starting times will be determined by each individual podcast.

This is a 24-hour gaming marathon. You donate per hour and we play. Remember that it's not about how much you donate, but that you donate. I encourage you to donate via your favorite podcast's donation page or directly to VGEvo's donation page. Please note this isn't a contest; all podcasts are linked under VGEvo's Team.

Live broadcasts, podcast recordings, prizes and plenty of other incentives will be going on during the marathon, so don't miss out! We'll be putting up any live feeds on VGEvo's front page as well.

The remaining items will be raffled off tomorrow afternoon. If you were wondering how we did the raffle, we assigned a range of numbers for each donation that amounts to one raffle ticket per $1 donated, then used random.org to pick the winners. Don't worry, each "raffle ticket" is good for each drawing -- though you can only win one of any prize. Check this thread tomorrow for more details. We need to get some sleep!

I have already done my part and have donated. Also, I will watch any of the live feeds from the VGEvo podcasters as much as I can even though I have 6+ hours of class on that Saturday.
